CITYGROUPS
God has wired us for relationships. Introvert or extrovert, young or old, big or small, this need for human connection is embedded deeply into our DNA. Small groups here at CityChurch, known as CityGroups, provide a place for you to Grow, Connect, and Protect. Simply being around other believers can be a huge encouragement throughout your week. And as we draw closer to each other, we make each other BETTER. That doesn't happen just by seeing each other once a week on Sundays, it happens when you choose to do life together.
CityGroups Provide Three Things:
A Place to CONNECT
1 Corinthians 9:22 (LB)
...yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.
The older we get, the harder it can be to get to know new people. And as much as we love Sunday services at CityChurch, they are primarily built to help us connect with God, and making real connections with others in the midst of everything going on can be challenging. CityGroups provide a smaller venue with a slower pace that is structured to help you make genuine connections with others.
A Place to PROTECT
1 John 3:16 (NLT)
“We know what real love is because Christ gave up His life for
us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters.”
The reality is life can be tough. At any given moment any of us can be in a difficut season, coming out of a difficult season or heading into a difficult season. CityGroups give us a circle to surround us when life gets hard, and a chance to be part of that circle for others when they need it.
COMMUNITY
MATTERS
We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. While our physical reality may be that we live in community, our spiritual, social, and relational reality can often be one of life-sucking isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s Word together.
Hebrews 10:24-25

Games like Monopoly, Candy Land, UNO, and so much more are planned. Come hang out! If you are a parent of a teen, be sure to check out our CityGroup on the Gospel of John that meets concurrently in the CityChurch Fellowship Hall.
Man Up
Tuesdays, 6am @ CityChurch
Open to Men of all ages
Man Up is our Men's CityGroup that meets on Tuesday mornings at 6am, led by our Men's Director, Zach Butler. The first sin that a man ever committed was passivity. We believe men of God should be firm in their faith, leaders in their home and the church, and willing to allow their fellow men into their lives. Man Up is the place to be to learn what a man looks like and sounds like in every area of life. We know we all have jobs to attend to, so don't be worried if you can't stay the whole meeting. We look forward to seeing you this week!
Connection
Tuesdays, 6:30pm @ CityChurch
Open to Anyone
"Connection" is a CityGroup led by our First Impressions Directors, Steve and Amanda Yelverton. They will be diving into real life questions that we all face day-to-day, and how to answer them biblically. This one's all about community, so come join them in the CityChurch Fellowship Hall on Tuesdays at 6:30pm!
"Get Out Of Your Head"
Wednesdays, 6:30pm @ CityChurch
Open to Women of any age
Welcome to our Women's CityGroup! We are so excited to grow together this semester as we dive into our source book: Get Out Of Your Head by Jennie Allen. Here's a little excerpt from the book:
"Are your thoughts holding you captive? I’ll never be good enough. Other people have better lives than I do. God couldn’t really love me. Jennie Allen knows what it’s like to swirl in a spiral of destructive thoughts, but she also knows we don’t have to stay stuck in toxic thinking patterns."
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm @ CityChurch For Olive Branch. Join us this week!
Jesus & Jukes
Thursdays, 6:30pm @ CityChurch
Open to Anyone
Come hang out and watch Thursday Night Football in the CityChurch Auditorium! Fellowship and food will be aplenty and our Worship Director, Hunter Land, will be leading a devotional during halftime. Looking forward to seeing you this Thursday at 6:30pm!
