God loves middle and high school students, and so does CityChurch! The mission of the662, our youth ministry, is to raise up a generation of young people living out Isaiah 66:2 - reverently responding to the Word of God and the voice of God. The teenage years are full of new and life-shaping experiences. We want to help students LIVE THE EXPERIENCE of following Jesus. We believe this encompasses four steps:

  1. Have An Experience
  2. Live The Experience
  3. Share The Experience
  4. Spread The Experience

1. HAVE AN EXPERIENCE

We want young people to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8). They need a true, life-changing, eternity-shaping experience with the Living God. 

2. Live The Experience

Once students encounter God and Have An Experience, we want to help them learn to live that out in their daily lives. This is where discipleship comes in. Learning to read their Bibles, pray, worship, give, serve - all of these habits of a believer are crucial at for teenagers as well as adults. And if young people can build these habits into their life now, they will be much easier to live out as adults. 

3. SHARE THE EXPERIENCE

As students Live The Experience and become disciples of Jesus Christ, they will naturally want to share that experience with others. We believe young people can be soul winners right now. It's no secret this generation faces so many challenges, but God promises that "where sin abounds, grace much more abounds." We believe there's an abundant grace for this generation, and oftentimes, the people best positioned to share that with this generation are the young people themselves. We want to train them to reach their friends, their teammates, and even their enemies with the Gospel.

4. Spread The Experience

As teens share Jesus with their friends, the experience will spread: to other students, other schools, other churches, and even other counties, other states and other nations. We are big believers in short term missions and want every student to have the experience of helping the Gospel spread around the nation and across the globe.
